If you’re not receiving Snapchat notifications check your phone’s settings to make sure notifications are not blocked. I was receiving notifications from Snapchat, didn’t make any changes to my phone’s settings but somehow they got changed. Snapchat has been making numerous updates so there was most likely a glitch, causing my settings to change.
After the last iOS update, my push notifications for Snapchat stopped working. Here’s a couple of troubleshooting tips that I found helpful. First, check your “View In Lock Screen” settings. To do so, go to Settings and then select Notifications. Next, select Snapchat and then look for “Show on Lock Screen” under the Alerts section.
Why Am I Not Getting Snapchat Notifications? |
For push notifications to work, you need an active cellular connection or Wi-Fi. If your cellular connection isn’t working, the first thing you want to do is make sure it’s enabled. To do so, go to Settings and then select Cellular. The Cellular Data toggle switch should be green and to the right.

Make sure you’re running the latest version of Snapchat. To do so, check your Updates in the App Store. If you don’t see Snapchat listed in the Notifications section of your Settings, enable notifications through Snapchat and check the list again.
