    The Empire TV series is back and the Lyon family continues to keep us entertained! From Empire’s Boo Boo Kitty, Anika Calhoun twerkin-for-the-cause to Cookie’s gorilla suit, cage speech, the first episode of Empire was simply amazing.

    Lucious Lyon proved exactly how powerful he is by the way in which he handled Frank Gathers (Chris Rock).  Just when Mr. Gathers through he had everything under control, Lucious gave him a valuable lesson, highlighting the difference between street power and corporate power.  Lucious also showed his family how to pull off a hostile takeover the right way.

    The masterminds behind Empire have realized how many people are interested in the show and have used the platform to highlight serious issues as seen through Cookie’s speech on mass incarceration.

    We still cannot get enough of Taraji P. Henson. Empire is back and better than ever! Many fans voiced their concerns when they began to hear about the number of guests that would be featured on the show this season yet the way in which Empire handles guest appearances is extremely effective.  Chris Rock aka Frank Gathers came and went faster than we could say #FreeLucious.

    Is Lucious Lyon more entertaining behind bars? I found my self at the edge of the seat when he handled the Frank Gathers situation like a boss! Me and Lucious were not quite on the same page throughout the first season.  Although I love the man that built Empire, his storyline was not always attention-grabbing.
    Times have changed: The Devils Are Here episode made me a believer! Lucious Lyon’s storyline was by far the most entertaining if you ask me! Do we keep him behind bars to keep up the momentum? or would you rather see Lucious Lyon free?
