    Hollywood Life explains the Robyn Rihanna Fenty wouldn’t take a side if a beef between Drake and Eminem were to actually materialize.  The singer explains that she has respect for both artists and would like to do future work with each of them.  While hip-hop fans are anxious for another epic rap battle it doesn’t look like anyone’s willing to add fuel to this fire.

    Marie Claire reports that Iron Man’s newest superhero is Riri Williams, an African American woman who is replacing Iron Man, Tony Stark.  While there’s no official word on whether the Barbados native actually inspired the character the similarities are undeniable.

    Not only are their names the same, they both overcame tragic upbringings.  Riri Williams was born shortly after her father passed away while Robyn’s childhood was deeply impacted by her dad’s addiction to drugs and alcohol.  Hopefully the singer will collaborate with Marvel to create some promotional content for the character.

    For The Win reports that NBA superstar, Carmelo Kyam Anthony has joined the “Snapchat Squad” to roast his Team USA Basketball teammates.  The New York Knicks superstar posted a video introducing Kevin Durant and Draymond Green as clowns.  He then compares DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins to former NBA player Othella Harrington.

    Carmelo Anthony’s salary for the 2016-17 season is $24,559,380.  Last year, he signed a five-year contract worth $124 million.  He is the sixth highest paid player in the NBA.  His current net worth is $90 million.  With the Knicks finally recovering from mistakes like Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry, there’s no better time for Melo to prove his worth.
    Last year, during an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” the small forward was asked if he thought that he was a better scorer than Stephen Curry and LeBron James.  Although both players outscored him last season Melo has a strong argument.  Those that remember his Syracuse days understand exactly why he has so much self-confidence.

    The YBF explains that actor, Nate Parker, and his wife, Sarah DiSanto welcomed their fourth baby girl on Thursday, August 4, 2016.  The couple named their new bundle of joy, Justice.  The 36-year-old has been working on the film The Birth of a Nation which he directs and stars in.  He plays Nat Turner, a literate slave and preacher who led a rebellion seeking justice.

    According to Ebony the Virginia native once proclaimed that he would never play a gay role to preserve the Black man.  In an interview alongside director, Gina Prince-Bythewood, the actor insulted Hollywood for feminizing the African American male on camera.  He further explained that Hollywood offers Black men roles that requires them to wear dresses and portray characters of “questionable sexuality.”

    In the two short years since the actor made the comments we watched actor Jussie Smollett all but take over the world as Empire‘s Jamal Lyon.  Jamal struggles with his father’s issues with his sexuality but doesn’t allow him to negatively influence his career.  The character proves that being a gay man does not make you less of a man.
    Comedian, Dave Chappelle made some of the most popular comments about the issue in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.  He explained that Hollywood tries to put Black actors in female attire to feminize them.  The greatest prison that people live in is the fear of what other people think.

    Russell Westbrook Press Conference

    Westbrook chose all the right words at his press conference, celebrating the new contract.  A reporter asked, “Did KD going to GSW sting?” Russell responded with a question of his own: “Sting for who?” leading to giggles amongst the crowd.  The 2016-17 NBA schedule will be released on Thursday, August 11, 2016.  We can’t wait to see when the Oklahoma City Thunder play the Golden State Warriors.
    After witnessing LeBron James return to the Cleveland Cavaliers and win them a NBA Championship you would think Russell and OKC would show a bit more respect to KD.  The NBA superstar could end up hating Golden State.  Just because they’re unstoppable on paper doesn’t mean it will work in reality.  OKC shouldn’t burn any bridges.

    Independent reports that a former Chicago Bulls superstar is also afraid of water: Michael Jordan.  When he was eight his friend passed away in a swimming accident.  Him and his friend were riding the waves when a strong current came in and took him under.  His friend grabbed Michael and would have taken him down with him had Jordan not managed to struggle free at the last minute.

    BET reports that the Love and Hip Hop Hollywood super trailer debuted and it’s exactly what we expected.  The new season chronicles Ray J’s drama with model, Princess Love.  The couple became engaged last year but a wedding may not happen.  The trailer also showed Fetty Wap and his drama with Masika Kalysha.  The couple we’re most interested in is Miss Nikki Mudarris and Safaree Samuels.

    According to Complex Samuels is Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend who recently sued Minaj for physical and mental abuse.  Mudarris is a nightclub owner who graduated from the University of Southern California.  Throughout the first season of the show she was with producer, Mally Mall.  Season 2 showed her with rapper, Lil’ Fizz.  This season we’ll see her in a relationship with both Safaree and Rosa Acosta, at the same time!

    That’s right, Nikki reveals that she is bisexual and begins dating Acosta, a Latin fitness model from the Dominican Republic.  Mudarris was recently spotted at Katsuya, a Japanese restaurant in Hollywood.  The two were holding hands and he gave her a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  We’ll see how long their relationship last considering the fact that they both have been through horrible breakups.
