  • New Edition First Manager – Brooke Payne

    Brooke Payne, New Edition’s first manager, is played by Wood Harris in The New Edition Story.  The original members of New Edition, Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell, Corey Rackley and Travis Pettus, formed under Brooke Payne’s management in 1978.  Payne, Brown, Bivins, Bell, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant produced the BET series.

    Payne is one of the best choreographers in the world but he played a more important role in the group member’s lives.  None of the members of New Edition had father figures so Payne fulfilled that role.  As the group’s mentor, he stood by their side through numerous trials and tribulations.

    Payne discovered the group in Roxbury, Boston. The boys grew up in Ochard Park which was renamed “Orchard Gardens.” In 1980, the group won second place in a talent show. Following the show, Brooke’s nephew, Ronnie DeVoe, replaced former member Travis Pettus.

    Payne decided to name the group “New Edition” because he wanted the boys to be a new edition of the legendary Jackson 5.

    Payne was born on March 12, 1950 in Boston, MA. New Edition isn’t the only group he has managed. Brooke also helped form the band LSG and he played a major role in Bell Biv DeVoe’s career as a solo artist.

    New Edition wouldn’t have been possible without Brooke Payne. The group paved the way for today’s R&B artists and we’re glad BET developed this mini-series!

  • Courtney Barnes – Cam Model

    Courtney Barnes is the cam model with a 59 inch booty.  Scroll to the video at the end of this post to see why she regrets getting injections.  She explains that she didn’t know her booty would be so big.  She says that people are typically shocked when they see her from the back.  Shantava Mensa, Courtney’s friend, explains that Miami, Florida is fake so people love Courtney’s assets.

    Barnes graduated with an economics degree and fully understands the supply and demand theory.  Courtney’s product is her assets and they’re in demand.

    Courtney uses the photo-sharing app to promote her services.  The link in her bio leads to a page that prompts users to subscribe for $11.99 per month.

    Barnes explains that her injections were illegal and she’s getting all the wrong attention.  She’s now considering a reduction and we see her visit a plastic surgeon.  The plastic surgeon says that Courtney’s booty is the largest one he has ever seen.  He inspects the 32-year-old’s booty and says he feels multiple lumps and bumps.

    Think twice before you get silicone injections.

  • What Happened To Remy Ma? Diagnosis – Can’t Have Kids?

    What happened to Remy Ma? What’s her diagnosis? Is it true that she can’t have kids? In one hour of Love and Hip Hop New York, Remy Ma was pregnant and then we found out she suffered a miscarriage.  She then explains that she can’t have kids.  Viewers were on an emotional roller coaster.  I was so happy for Papoose, when Remy Ma revealed that she was pregnant.

    The couple most likely reenacted some of the events but Remy Ma really did have a miscarriage and Papoose loves her with all his heart.

    Balloons played a major role in the storyline.  First, Remy gives Papoose a box with “Welcome Baby” balloons.  Papoose flips the table to hug and kiss Remy.  Papoose knows that a baby is a baby is a blessing and he’s unable to control his emotions.

    A balloon with a different message is seen at the end of the episode.  “Get Well” and just like that Remy and Papoose’s bond brought tears to our eyes.

    In the preview for the next episode, we see Papoose discussing the tragedy with his family.  Remy and Papoose have been through it all and their marriage remains successful.

  • Jay Bowdy Death – Suicide, Facebook, Actor, Video

    Actor, Jay Bowdy has died.  On January 23, 2017, the actor committed suicide in a Facebook Live video.  The tragedy reminds us how important it is to listen when people cry out.  People with suicidal thoughts usually do something to let their loved ones know their intentions before they act.  If you know someone contemplating suicide, you must listen to their full story.

    Letting a person know that you care enough to listen can help the individual escape depression.  To help the person survive, you must be willing to speak openly about their suicidal thoughts.  People who try to kill themselves are generally not insane.  There’s often nothing wrong with the person mentally, instead the individual could be grief-stricken or depressed.

    Frederick Jay Bowdy was born on August 26, 1983 in San Antonio, TX.  He attended Trimble Tech High School in Fort Worth, TX.

    In the video at the end of this post, Bowdy explains that he had his first child when he was 18-years-old.

    Jay was very proud to obtain his Master’s degree.  He was the first person on his father’s side to earn a college degree.

    Jay got married when he was 25-years-old.  Him and his wife welcomed four children together.  He also had two kids from a previous relationship.

    People don’t cry out because they’re weak.  They cry out because they’ve been strong for too long.  Listen.

  • Remy Ma Ectopic Pregnancy – Symptoms, Age

    Remy Ma suffers an ectopic pregnancy on season 7 of Love and Hip Hop New York.  The rapper, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, is currently 36-years-old.  Women aged 35 to 44 are more likely to suffer an ectopic pregnancy.  An ectopic pregnancy occurs outside the uterus.  It usually occurs in the fallopian tube.  The following symptoms are generally used to recognize an ectopic pregnancy:

    • Vaginal bleeding
    • Dizziness or fainting
    • Belly or pelvic pain
    • Missed menstrual period

    The doctor tells Remy that she cannot have any more natural pregnancies.  When the doctor open the area of the ectopic pregnancy, it was already about to burst so he had to take it out.  Remy’s uterus is still intact but it will be very difficult for her to have another baby.

    Remy explains how much she wanted to have a baby.  She promised Papoose that they would have a bundle of joy together so she feels like she let him down.  Empire‘s “Good People” sums up this sad incident.  It’s hard to explain why bad things happen to good people.

  • Juju And Bianca – Yandy Beef #LHHNY

    The next episode of Love and Hip Hop New York will feature a beef between Juju, Bianca and Yandy.  Juliet “Juju” C. usually appears on the series with her fiancé, Cam’ron.  Multiple cast members go to her for advice on how to handle their problems.  She’s usually calm, cool and collected but we see a different side of her on the next episode of #LHHNY.

    In episode 11 of season 7, “Creepin’ Back” Yandy Smith visits Juju to discuss her issues with Mendeecees baby mamas, Kimbella and Juelz Santana.  Juju wants Yandy to work things out with Kimbella because she planned a trip to Mexico.  Yandy is excited but wants to know if it will only be her and Juju.

    Juju tells Yandy that she was planning to invite Kimbella and Snoop’s ex-girlfriend, J. Adrienne.  Yandy warns Juju about Kimbella talking about Juelz.  Yandy doesn’t feel comfortable discussing information about Juelz’s career with Kimbella.  Juju tells Yandy that she’ll talk to Kimbella.

    In the previews for episode 12 we see the ladies in Mexico.  Juju, Kimbella and J. Adrienne are having a great time but then Yandy shows up with Bianca Bonnie.  Yandy never mentioned bringing Bianca to Mexico and Juju doesn’t look happy about it:

  • Snapchat New Look – 2017 Update

    Snapchat’s new look has arrived thanks to the app’s 2017 update.  The company added a universal search feature, enabling users to find what they desire without having to leave the app.  You can find friends, groups and even publishers.  This is one of the first updates Instagram won’t be able to copy because the Facebook owned app already has a search bar.

    Snapchat is changing.  The company is taking steps to ensure they won’t have to deal with the fake news issues that Facebook and Twitter are experiencing.  Snapchat updated its guidelines.  Discover publishers are not allowed to publish content that doesn’t offer editorial value.  In other words, no fake news.

    Snapchat started as a sexting app and it’s now going commercial.  There’s no way the app will be able to go public while allowing users to publish any content they wish.  No one wants to invest in a social network vulnerable to lawsuits.

    We can all kiss the privacy we once enjoyed on Snapchat goodbye.  Facebook will most likely attempt to buy Snapchat again and this time Snapchat should accept Mark Zuckerberg’s offer.  Facebook is worth 20 times as much as Snapchat.  Snapchat is currently worth about $20 billion while Facebook is worth over $350 billion.

  • Is Remy Ma Pregnant? 2017 Baby Bump? Miscarriage?

    Update

    We’re very sad to report that Remy Ma suffered a miscarriage.  In Love and Hip Hop, season 7, episode 11, “Creepin’ Back” we see Remy and Papoose in the hospital.  Remy has been through numerous obstacles throughout her life and she’s beginning to think she has bad luck.  She cries and wants to know why her and Papoose’s unborn child passed away.

    Is Remy Ma pregnant in 2017? Does she have a baby bump or did she have a miscarriage? Remy Ma is not currently pregnant but she may have suffered a miscarriage.  She posted the following image via Instagram on January 6, 2017.  The picture shows that the rapper, whose real name is Reminisce Mackie, is not pregnant.

    At the end of Love and Hip Hop‘s “Don’t Mess With the Exes” episode, teasers of the next episode showed Remy giving her husband, Papoose a gift.  Remy and Papoose are #RelationshipGoals but they have been going through the most this season.  Papoose has made it clear that he wants Remy to have another baby.

    From 2008 to 2014, Remy was locked up so she’s making up for lost time.  Papoose gave her a pregnancy test while the two were out to eat and the teaser for the next episode shows Remy give Papoose a gift.  The gift is most likely a response to the pregnancy test.

    The reality series was filmed months ago, therefore Remy’s current figure spoils the cliffhanger.  Remy loves Papoose to death but she most likely won’t have any additional children.  She is 36-years-old and she’s focusing on her career.  Her and Fat Joe recently released a video for their hit song, “Money Showers”:

  • What Time Does Love And Hip Hop Come On?

    Love and Hip Hop airs on Monday at 8/7c.

    VH1 generally takes a day to post new episodes on their website and app.  In episode 11 of season 7, “Creepin’ Back” Amina gives birth to her baby.  We’re not sure what she was thinking or how Peter Gunz convinced her to sleep with him.

    In the episode, we see Peter try to convince Tara Wallace to give him a second chance.  Peter’s confidence is on another level.  Although him and Amina just welcomed a baby, he tries to convince Tara that he’s ready to be faithful.  We’re hoping Tara doesn’t fall for Peter’s games.  When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

    What Time Does Love And Hip Hop Come On?

    There are 3 episodes of Love and Hip Hop New York left: January 30, February 6 and February 13.  The Love and Hip Hop franchise continues to expand.  Last year, season 5 of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta started in April.  We’re expecting season 6 of the series to start in April as well.

    VH1 and Mona Scott-Young have been working on the Miami spinoff as well as the Houston installment.  The Hollywood installment generally starts in August and ends in late November.  VH1 won’t be able to fit a new installment on their schedules without airing two cities at the same time.

  • LJay Currie – Net Worth, Producer, Age, Basketball

    LJay Currie is worth $100,000.  LJay aka Lorne is talented basketball player who attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, California.  He was born in 1998 and is currently 17-years-old.  He was recently spotted with his new girlfriend, Iggy Azalea.  In 2015 he signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Long Beach State.
