    ‘Empire’ Season 3 Quick Recap: “Sound & Fury”

    Finally, Empire has returned with a brand new episode! The episode opens at Lucious Lyon Inferno, which has fire batons and lots of tension in the Lyon family — especially when Leah Walker wanders onto the stage. Uh oh. And that’s just the beginning.

    Here’s a quick rundown of the episode so you can get all caught up quickly.

    • Nessa gets chosen for another showcase, despite Hakeem and Cookie wanting Tiana for the job. At the showcase, Tiana and Nessa get into a cat fight, where Nessa literally throws Tiana off the stage.
    • Cookie and Angelo seem to be doing OK after the fallout of the revelation of the car accident from his past.
    • Andre, Cookie, Lucious, and Hakeem have a tense visit with Jamal in rehab. Jamal writes music in rehab with Tory (Rumer Willis). Jamal disappears from rehab, and goes to record with Tory in a studio.
    • Lucious endorses Angelo’s opponent, John Meeks. Ouch.
    • Xavier is the worst. He finally gets fired. Later, Xavier. But Anika gets to be head of A&R and Cookie is pissed.
    • Cookie takes a bat and smashes up the halls of Empire Entertainment, including gold records and Lucious’ piano. And then they make out on the piano, because this is Lucious and Cookie we’re talking about, but Cookie doesn’t let it go further than that.

  • DJ Frank White, T.I. – Doe B Beef

    T.I. and DJ Frank White are beefing over Doe B.  Frank is one of Boston’s most popular DJs.  He worked with T.I.’s son, Domani and T.I. claims that Frank is mad because Domani fired him.  T.I. says his son decided to end his relationship with Frank because the DJ is a snake 🐍.  T.I’s fans are posting snake emojis on the DJ’s Instagram page.

    Doe B was an Atlanta rapper signed to Hustle Gang.  He always wore an eye patch after getting shot in 2009.  The rapper, whose real name is Glenn Thomas, was murdered in 2013.

    DJ Frank White claims T.I. still makes money off of Doe B

    In the Instagram post below, Frank calls T.I. a liar and claims that his team still makes money off of Doe B.  His debut album was scheduled to be released in 2014.  After he died, his team revealed that he had over 200 unreleased songs recorded.  In 2014, Doe B’s single “Why” was released.  A few months later, his album D.O.A.T. 3 was released.

    T.I. explains that 25% of Doe B’s money goes to DJ Frank White

    In the following Instagram post, T.I. explains that 50% of Doe B’s earning go to his estate, 25% go to DJ Frank White and 25% goes to Doe B’s management partners.  T.I. calls Frank out for taking Doe B’s money and claiming it’s Hustle Gang.  Doe B left 3 daughters that deserve any money his music earns.

    DJ Frank White had the wrong old school car pull up so Domani fired him

    Don’t you hate when you get screenshot? In the Instagram post below T.I. exposes Frank.  The DJ sent T.I. a text message discussing Domani’s video shoot.  Frank had the wrong old school car pull up so Domani cut him back to 5%.  The last message Frank sends explains that Domani fired him.  He thanks T.I. and keeps it moving.

  • Mike Bivins Wife Teasha – Age, Birthday, Instagram, Son

    Michael Bivins wife, Teasha is a hustler, just like him.  The New Edition star makes smart decisions and marrying Teasha was definitely one of them.  She’s the CEO of Bivins Realty Group.  The company is located in Fairfield County, CT.  She took the Connecticut real estate exam in 2003 and opened Bivins Realty in 2007.

    Teasha was born on October 20, 1979.  She attended Connecticut State University and graduated with a Marketing degree.  Michael Bivins and Teasha have four children: Michael Bivins, Jr. is their son and they have three beautiful daughters: Savi, Star and Shi Bivins.

    In the Instagram post below, Michael thanks Teasha for picking Bryshere Y. Gray to play him in The New Edition Story.  Bryshere did a wonderful job in the project and his swag is similar to Michael’s.  Bivins was one of the only members of the group with enough confidence to call out Bobby Brown.  Bryshere’s confidence as Hakeem on Empire is very similar to Michael’s boldness.

    Teasha’s man recently scored a hot property.  Last year, Mayor Marty Walsh named a basketball court after the Boston singer.  Every year, Bivins returns to Boston’s Roxbury’s Ramsay Park to host the Michael Bivins Basketball Tournament.  Prior to signing his record deal, basketball was everything to Michael.  We’re proud of him and wish him and Teasha the best!

    BET’s The New Edition Story was difficult to watch.  This article provides the net worth of each of the group’s members.  The mini-series revealed how much money the group was cheated out of.  New Edition toured the nation just to find out they were broke.  Their mothers fought hard but it wasn’t enough.

    Ricky Bell

    Ricky Bell is worth $16 million.  The mini-series showed the singer’s hard times.  He lost his house and he was addicted to drugs.  “Slick” worked hard to change his life around.  In the late 1980s, Ricky teamed up with Michael Bivins and Ronnie DeVoe to form Bell Biv DeVoe.  The trio recently released a new album: Three Stripes.

    Michael Bivins is worth $40 million.  The mini-series showed that he was teased for being one of the least talented members of the group.  Bivins loved basketball and thought twice before signing the group’s initial contract.  He ended up signing it and has been making power moves ever since.  He founded numerous successful groups, including Boyz II Men and 702.

    Bobby Brown

    Bobby Brown is worth $2.5 million.  He was arguably the group’s most talented members but he just didn’t listen.  Each member of New Edition grew up in a single parent household.  Bobby’s mother tried to control his behavior but Bobby doesn’t follow anyone’s rules.  The mini-series showed that he was selling drugs during the climax of his career.

    Ronnie DeVoe

    Ronnie DeVoe is worth $600,000.  He was a member of the trio Bell Biv DeVoe and his uncle, Brooke Payne, was the group’s founder, manager and choreographer.  Bobby nearly killed Ronnie’s uncle with his crazy behavior.  Brown interrupted one of the group’s shows and Brooke ended up suffering a heart attack.

    Johnny Gill

    Johnny Gill is currently worth $10 million.  In the late 1980s, Gill was added to the group.  Michael Bivins heard Ralph Tresvant was leaving so he recruited Johnny.  Johnny’s singing career started when he was only 5-years-old.  The Washington D.C. native started as a gospel singer before transitioning to R&B.

    Ralph Tresvant is worth $8 million.  In the mid-1990s, the singer had a recording studio built in his house.  The singer has also appeared in several movies.  In 2004, he played Jake in Barbershop Blues and in 2006, he played Sonny in Triple Cross.  In his most recent role, Ralph played Sam Cooke in the 2014 film, Get On Up.

    Matt Jordan seems to
    not be acting his age right now. Although the 32-year-old househusband who was
    born on August 15, 1982, should be acting 32 all the time, he is acting like he
    is back in high school again. Apparently, an arrest warrant has been issued for
    Jordan since he got into a fight with Peter Thomas, also a
    househusband from ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’

    The fight came about
    when Peter Thomas and Todd Tucker told Matt Jordan that their wives give them
    some of their salaries for being on the
    show with them and said that he should demand it from his wife. The argument

    Did you see some new
    faces on tonight’s episode? One of them is “Cindy” real name Sydney Park and
    she has been helping out. Sydney Park was born in
    Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1997. She started fame at an early
    age. 

    When Sydney was just
    six-years-old    , she was the first ever young comedian to perform at the
    Hollywood Improv doing stand-up comedy. You might remember seeing her on “America’s
    Got Talent” when she was just seven-years-old.

    During the time she was
    auditioning for America’s Got Talent, Disney executives saw her and immediately

    seeing her on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in 2006 as “Syd the Kid.” At the
    time, she was only eight-years-old. In 2007, she had a guest role on “Entourage”

    see her on “The Walking Dead” which she started playing in tonight’s episode.

    Did anyone catch the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta“? The ladies finally returned from that action packed, flip-flopping, shady and crazy vacation and went about their normal lives. Not too much happened this episode other than the usual emotional drama between Kenya Moore and her, um, rather unpredictable ex-boyfriend Matt Jordan who recently threw down with Peter Thomas at a radio station. The other discussion worthy topic was Cynthia Bailey’s underground fashion show with the runway debut of Sheree and Bob Whitfield’s very handsome son, Kairo Whitfield.

    Kairo Whitfield is 20-years-old and is around 6’4. Cynthia is helping him out by giving momager Sheree some points and the rundown of how everything works. 

    In previous seasons we’ve seen him as an awkward teen and it wasn’t until last season at the Million Man March that viewers noticed that he has grown up into a fine young man who wanted to be in the modeling industry.  He has his ex-Falcon player dad’s complexion and height and his mom’s looks making for perfect model features. (Side note: I know you saw Miss Kenya Moore licking her lips at the side of the runway when it was Kairo’s turn to walk.)

    Orange Is The New Black‘s Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli are not engaged, they’re married! The couple got married in Palm Springs, California.  They were surrounded by friends and family.  Martha Stewart Weddings was the first to report the news.  Samira is 29-years-old while Lauren is 34.

    The couple walked down the aisle to Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It” and their reception entrance song was “Baby” by Justin Bieber.

    Samira’s parents officiated the ceremony which was held outdoors.

    LeBron James wore goggles during Saturday night’s game against the Washington Wizards.  James’ yellow tinted glasses didn’t last long.  He tossed them to the side late in the first quarter.  Cleveland lost to the Wizards 127 to 115.  The Cavs have nothing to worry about since they’ve already clinched the division.

    On Friday, March 24, 2017 the Cleveland Cavaliers played the Charlotte Hornets.  LeBron suffered an eye injury during the game.  The Cavs defeated the Hornets 112 to 105.  LeBron drove to the basket and Jeremy Lamb fouled him.  Zeller scratched LeBron’s right cornea.  The Cavs are 0-6 this season without King James so he decided to play against the Wizards.

    Cleveland is currently number 1 in the Eastern Conference while Washington is number 3.  The Wizards have clinched a Playoff berth.  It’s difficult to take the Wizards seriously.  Since the Chris Webber and Juwan Howard days they’ve been selling fans dreams.  Last year, they failed to make the playoffs.

    Cleveland has not looked great this year but they still have a chance to win their second NBA Championship in a row.

     

    LeBron will have to play big minutes throughout the playoffs if Cleveland stands a chance.  Kevin Durant recently suffered an injury that may have LeBron thinking about his health.  LeBron isn’t as young as he used to be and if he plans to match Michael Jordan’s 6 championships he will need to make smart decisions.The hilarious tweet below explains that Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns scored a career high 70 points while LeBron’s career high is 61 points.

     

    While Booker’s performance was impressive, he’s no LeBron James.  King James is the youngest player to ever record a triple double, he holds the record for the most 3-pointers in the NBA Finals and the most consecutive points in a playoff game.
