Bobby Brown Brother-In-Law Steven Sealy

In The Bobby Brown Story, Bobby Brown’s brother-in-law, Steven “Shot” Sealy (Sealey) aka “Stevie Shots” is played by actor, Lance Gross.  Sealy grew up in the Columbia Point Projects in Dorechester and was engaged to one of Bobby’s sisters.

On September 28, 1995, Sealy was shot multiple times while sitting in Bobby’s cream-colored Bentley.  The vehicle was parked outside of The Biarritz lounge on Dudley Street in Roxbury, a neighborhood in Boston.

Bobby was sitting in the passenger seat of the Bentley that was owned by his ex-wife, Whitney Houston.  Sadly, Sealy died at the hospital.  He was 31-years-old.

In The Bobby Brown Story we see Steven ask Bobby if he knew a group of men that enter The Biarritz lounge.  Bobby says he didn’t know them.  Prior to getting shot, Sealy sees a vehicle pull up behind Bobby’s Bentley.  Moments later, Sealy is shot multiple times and his gold medallion was stolen off his neck.

Bobby hired Steven as his bodyguard and he was excited to show him around Boston.  Brown grew up in Roxbury’s Orchard Park Projects, one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Boston.

Sealy was a drug dealer who was trying to change his life around and Bobby was wanted to help.  John “Johnny Black” Tibbs was convicted of the murder of Steven Sealy and sentenced to 27 years in prison.
