Brandon Barnes is the vocal coach from Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta.  In episode 3 of season 1, “Bow Down To Your Mother” we see Brandon asking his mother for advice.  Barnes’ mother is Deb Antney and his brother is Waka Flocka Flame.  In episode 2, Brandon tells Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne’s daughter, to mind her business.

Brandon isn’t afraid to speak his mind.  He doesn’t like the outfit Zonnique is wearing during a photoshoot so he calls her out about it.  Zonnique and Reginae are close friends so Reginae tells Brandon to stop being negative.  Reginae then calls Brandon out regarding who he has worked with in the past.

Brandon claims that he has worked with Rihanna but no one believes him.  Barnes tells Reginae to worry about Black Lives Matter.  He was referring to Lil’ Wayne’s comments about the movement.  Wayne called the movement dumb but it looks like that was a publicity stunt.  Wayne and T.I. had fake beef to help Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta‘s ratings.
Deb Antney is now a part of Brandon, Reginae and Zonnique’s drama.  The reality show reminds us all to focus on your goals and don’t let things that don’t matter distract you.
