Cristen Metoyer’s husband is basketball player, Joe Crawford. The 6’5″ shooting guard attended the University of Kentucky and in 2008 he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. Cristen’s sister, Aja is the mother of Dwyane Wade’s youngest son, Xavier. The third Metoyer sister, Melissa, has also been seen on season 6 of Basketball Wives.
Episode 6 of Basketball Wives season 6 showed Cristen exchange words with Saniy’yah Samaa. Cristen and Evelyn Lozada bonded during a hiking trip. Cristen tells Evelyn about her miscarriage so Evelyn wants to know more about her. The ladies attend a wine tasting and Evelyn decides that Cristen needs a makeover. Cristen wore biker shorts to the wine tasting and Evelyn was not impressed.

In 2015, Crawford played for the Erie BayHawks, a former NBA D-League team based in Erie, Pennsylvania. In 2004, Crawford was named a McDonald’s All-American. Sadly, he didn’t enjoy a successful professional career. In 2008, he was waived by the Lakers. In 2009, he was waived by the New York Knicks.
