The incident took place in August of 2016. Danry beat the charges and only had to pay a fine and take classes. At the time, Vasquez was signed with the Houston Astros but was playing for the Corpus Christi Hooks. The Astros decided to part ways with Danry after the video surfaced.

Danry Vasquez’s Charges Were Dismissed
Vasquez’s charges were dismissed after he completed the terms of a plea deal. He paid a fine and took classes similar to former NFL star, Ray Rice. Although he was indefinitely suspended from the NFL, Rice’s charges were dismissed after he completed a pretrial intervention program.
