‘Empire’ Co-Creator Lee Daniels Responds to Emmys Snub
Empire’s outspoken co-creator Lee Daniels took to social media Thursday after his hit Fox series was largely shut out of the 2015 Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Star Taraji P. Henson was nominated for best lead actress in a drama series, however star Terrence Howard failed to earn a nod for best lead actor, and more shockingly, the hip-hop drama failed to make the cut for best drama after its phenomenal freshman run. The series earned three nominations total.
