Floyd A1 Bentley, Songwriter, Love And Hip Hop Hollywood

Here’s a list of some of Floyd A1 Bentley’s hit songs:

  • Chris Brown – “Party”
  • Chris Brown – “What Would You Do?”
  • Eric Bellinger – “Valet”
  • French Montana – “No Pressure”
  • French Montana – “Hotel Bathroom”
  • Gucci Mane – “Tone It Down”
  • Lyrica Anderson – “All Me”
  • Safaree – “The Most Fun”

In episode 2 of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood‘s fourth season, “Make It Count” A1 was crowned the grand champ in his battle against Ray J and Safaree Samuels.  Ray J is trying to have a baby so he goes to a doctor to make sure he’s not shooting blanks.  It turns out Ray J’s count is lower than average while A1’s count is higher than average.  Safaree came in second place.

Billboard reports that Chris Brown’s Royalty was nominated for Breakthrough Long Form Video at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.  Beyonce’s HBO special Lemonade ended up winning the award but the nomination alone proves that Royalty was an amazing album.  One song that made the album a classic was “Wrist” produced by Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star, Floyd “A1” Bentley.

A1 is an award winning producer, singer and songwriter from Kansas City, KS.  We love him because he’s fearless.  Similar to Empire‘s Taraji P. Henson he moved to Hollywood after college to pursue his career in the music industry.  While Henson moved to Los Angeles with $700, A1 moved to the city with $800.  Henson and Floyd both jumped in with everything.  It didn’t matter if they succeeded or failed, at least they took a leap of faith.

“For the Love of Money” episode 3 of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood‘s third season features A1 and his fiancé, Lyrica Anderson experiencing difficulties with their mothers, Pam Bentley and Lyrica “G” Garrett.  We’re sure that the singer will be able to figure things out considering how strategic he had to be when he ended up homeless in Los Angeles.

Bentley eventually met singer, Raphael Saadiq and he hasn’t looked back since.  He has worked with some of the most talented artists in the game including Big Sean, Robin Thicke, Tyga and Drake.  Hopefully he’ll be able to figure things out at home so he can continue creating unforgettable music.
