Top Democrat Pushes Bill To End Marijuana Prohibition

Forbes reports that Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer recently announced his plans to introduce a bill to remove weed from the Controlled Substances Act altogether.

In the video below, Schumer explains that the new bill would decriminalize marijuana at the federal level.  He explains that your decision to smoke marijuana doesn’t hurt others and this is a free country.

Bernie Sanders Will Co-Sponsor Marijuana Justice Act

Bernie Sanders signed on as a co-sponsor of the Marijuana Justice Act.  The legislation was introduced by Cory Booker and is separate from Schumer’s bill.  Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Ron Wyden are also co-sponsors.
