In the latest episode of Empire, “Sins of the Father” Camilla showed that she may bring the most out of Hakeem. SOHH.com explains that Camilla tells Hakeem to keep his eye on the prize because they are a team dubbing the new album “Anthony & Cleopatra”. Hakeem was able to show his lighter side and seemed to enjoy singing on the track:

Lucious grew up in the streets. He wants Hakeem’s music to reflect the serious conditions of the streets and he wants Hakeem to remain a rapper as opposed to a crossover artist. Lucious is proud of Hakeem when Hakeem shows anger in his rhymes:

Cookie believes that Hakeem has to rap from his heart as opposed to claiming the streets that he did not grow up in. She knows that Hakeem creates his best work when it is real. Unlike Lucious, Cookie does not mind Hakeem collaborating with his brother, Jamal:
