How Many Grammys Does Chance The Rapper Have? 2017

Chance the Rapper has won three Grammy Awards.  He won a Grammy for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album.  We’re expecting Chance and Drake to collaborate very soon.  After Chance won, Drake texted him from England where he’s currently on tour.  Drake advised Chance to keep creating unforgettable music.

Best New Artist

Chance’s won the Grammy for best new artist.  The rapper, whose real name is Chancellor Bennett was nominated alongside Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Maren Morris and Anderson Paak.  While we would give Chance every Grammy if we could, he’s not exactly a new artist.  He’s been active since late 2010.  He released his first mixtape, 10 Day in 2012.

Best Rap Performance

Chance won the Best Rap Performance Grammy for his song “No Problem.” The song features 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne.  It was included on Chance’s 2016 mixtape, Coloring Book.  Chance delivers the first verse and then 2 Chainz comes in.  Lil Wayne ends the track with an amazing verse.
The beat is what sets the song apart from the competition.  The track is soulful, forcing listeners to feel good and enjoy the moment.
The other tracks nominated include “Panda” by Desiigner, “Pop Style” by Drake featuring Jay Z and Kanye West, “All The Way Up” by Fat Joe and Remy Ma featuring Infared and French Montana and “That Part” by Schoolboy Q featuring Kanye West.

Best Rap Album

Coloring Book won the Grammy for Best Rap Album.  It was the first streaming-only mixtape to ever win a Grammy.  The other albums nominated include Life of Pablo by Kanye West, Blank Face LP by Schoolboy Q, And The Anonymous Nobody by De La Soul, Views by Drake and Major Key by DJ Khaled.
