The rumor that John Madden is dead is false. The 80-year-old is alive. Madden began endorsing the game in 1988 which means 2018 will mark the game’s 30 year anniversary. Many of the NFL’s current stars were born after the 1988 release of the game. The franchise continues to innovate, standing the test of time.
Madden 17, the game named after the NFL football legend, will include Colin Kaepernick’s protest. The San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback has inspired many thanks to his refusal to stand during the national anthem. His actions will now be shared on one of the most popular games in the world.

The Madden series has sold more than 100 million copies. Unlike EA Sports’ basketball series, NBA Live, the game has no competitors. Once NBA 2K was released people quickly forgot about NBA Live. The game’s mobile version has enjoyed some success. That’s not the case when it comes to Madden.
