Is Robyn Dixon white or black? Her ethnic background was a major part of the first season of The Real Housewives of Potomac.  She is black but she does have white ancestors.  Scroll down to see a picture of the reality star’s parents.  Her father is obviously black but it looks like her mother could be biracial.

Robyn’s father is a dentist and her mother is a college professor

Robyn has been dealing with racial identity issues for years.  She attended predominately white schools where people often questioned her ethnic background.  Her father is a dentist and her mother is a college professor.  Robyn’s parents are nothing like her husband’s parents.  She’s married to former NBA star, Juan Dixon.

Juan’s parents were addicted to drugs and they both passed away.  They died of AIDS-related diseases when Juan was a teenager.

Robyn’s complexion is similar to her mother’s.  Robyn’s experience is common.

No one is comfortable sharing their feelings about skin tone in person but then there’s the Internet.  Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas recently made some ignorant comments about dark skinned black women.
