Empire’s More Than Kin episode showed a softer side of Cookie Lyon. When the leader of Empire and Lyon Dynasty arrives at Anika’s house, the EMTs are rushing Anika out on a stretcher to transport her to the hospital. Cookie disobeys orders to follow the ambulance to the hospital and is right by Anika’s side during the trip.
