Kandi Burruss’ Old Lady Gang restaurant’s grand opening should be happening soon.  The Atlanta eatery has been done for about a month.  Scroll to the Instagram post to see an update from Kandi.  The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her husband, Todd Tucker worked hard to complete the restaurant but they should stop making enemies.

Kandi and Todd are currently in a feud with Porsha Williams.  Episode 15 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s ninth season, “Lie It All on the Table” shows Kandi embarrass Porsha in front of everyone.  Porsha recently appeared on the Star TV show along with an episode of Watch What Happens Live.  She has a growing fan base that won’t visit Kandi’s restaurant if the ladies don’t squash their beef.

Kandi and Todd are starting another business therefore it benefits them to make friends instead of enemies.  Running a restaurant is not easy with competition from Chipotle and Applebee’s.  OLG is a soul food spot but there are popular restaurants they’ll have to outperform.

Episode 6, “Tastes Like Trouble” showed a tasting hosted by Kandi.  We meet Chef J and see him preparing collard greens and fried chicken.  Kandi explains that some of her mother and grandmother’s secret recipes will be on the menu.  The ladies love the fried chicken and collard greens.

Kandi assures the ladies that the menu will include yams.  In the Instagram post below, Kandi explains that OLG is finally finished.

Cynthia Bailey explains that the food is great but Kandi and Todd have to make sure the business side of their new venture is organized.  The couple needed to have construction complete by a deadline to apply for a liquor license but it doesn’t look like they were fast enough.

A few months ago, Kandi and Todd invited some of their closest friends to the restaurant.
