Leland Robinson Jr. Jail, Sentenced – Lelo First Family Of Hip Hop

Leland “Lelo” Robinson’s jail sentence was seen on episode 7 of First Family of Hip Hop, “Facing The Music.” On September 30, 2016, Leland was sentenced to one year in jail.  In 2015, Leland, Peter Earle and Antonio Jordan were arrested.  Antonio also appears in the series.  He’s from Harlem and has been working with Sugarhill Records for about two years.

First Family of Hip Hop is very similar to Empire.  Like Lucious, Leland Robinson, Sr. is trying to pick the right successor to carry on Sugarhill’s legacy.  It doesn’t look like Leland Jr. will even be considered.

Peter Earle was being investigated after the police received tips that he was selling crack cocaine in Englewood, New Jersey.  Police obtained a search warrant and they found crack cocaine and marijuana at a house Leland was living in with Antonio.  The following mugshots are just sad:

On September 30, 2016, Leland was sentenced to 364 days in jail.  He’ll then spend 3 years on probation.

Cops also found fake credit cards at Leland’s house.  Like Mendeecees Harris from Love and Hip Hop New York and Scrapp Deleon from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Leland’s final moments of freedom are filmed and shared with the world.  The scene is very sad but if there’s one positive aspect of this story it’s the lesson he’s teaching viewers.

Leland reminds us that we will be held accountable for our actions.  Young men witnessed him say his final goodbye to his mother.  Hopefully those young men will think twice before making a mistake similar to Leland’s.

Many fans think the judge was too hard on Leland.  We’re sure the judge knew about Leland’s family.  If Leland wasn’t a member of a famous family, the judge may have sentenced him to more time.
