Radar Online explains that Malia Ann Obama was recently caught on camera smoking weed. The 18-year-old was seen smoking what appeared to be a joint at Lollapalooza. According to New York Post the festival took place last month in Chicago and of course the media has blown the situation out of proportion.
The situation reminds us of the First Daughter’s beer pong incident at Brown University, last year. After someone posted a Snapchat video of her standing near a beer pong table the media ensured that she was “exposed” as an underage drinker. She was even accused of taking shots as the story went viral.

In both situations the First Daughter was attempting to enjoy an entertaining moment with her friends yet she was unable to because we don’t respect each other’s privacy. Her teenage years have been ruined by us millennials and social media. For celebrities, the paparazzi is great. Any attention can end up being positive when you’re an entertainer. When you’re the President’s daughter you deserve some privacy because you didn’t sign up to be in the spotlight.
