Mollie Tibbetts Facebook – Fake Page

A fake Mollie Tibbetts Facebook page was created and false information was shared before it was taken down.  The screenshot below shows a fake post by someone who claims to be Mollie:

The page has been removed from Facebook.  Your Tango reports that the page advises the public to stop looking for Mollie.  This is the latest example of the fake news that is often shared on Facebook.

The last time Mollie shared a pic on Instagram was July 11, seven days before she went missing:

Crime Online reports that Mollie was last seen jogging in Brooklyn, a city in Poweshiek County, Iowa.  After her run, she sent message via Snapchat to her boyfriend, Dalton Jack.  She was staying at her boyfriend’s brother’s house where she was dog-sitting.

The following Instagram post shows Mollie and Dalton:

Dalton didn’t respond to Mollie’s Snap until the next morning but he heard nothing back.  She didn’t show up to work and has been missing for nearly a month.

Refinery29 explains that Wayne Cheney, a pig farmer, took a polygraph test in connection with the case.  A red shirt that may belong to Mollie was found near the farm.  The tweet below sums up the current status of this case:
