Henry Foots My 600 lb Life

Henry Foots from the first season of My 600 lb Life passed away on May 16, 2013.  An official cause of death was never revealed.  He died a few months after he was involved in a serious car accident.  When we met Henry, he weighed 750 pounds.  He had gastric bypass weight loss surgery and lost more than 500 pounds.

Like we’ve seen in other episodes of My 600 lb Life, Henry’s mom was an enabler.  We are all products of our environments.  Henry’s environment played a significant role in his health and weight gain.  Although Henry weighed 750 pounds, his mother continued to buy junk food.

James King from season 2 of My 600 lb Life is currently in the hospital.  He has kidney failure, sepsis and cirrhosis.  Sepsis occurs when a person’s body responds to infection, causing injury to its own tissues.  James has been cheating on his diet and recently gained 100 pounds.

Here’s a picture of Henry Foots before his surgery.  Unlike James, Henry stuck to his diet and maintained a healthy weight after his surgery.

Steven Assanti is another former cast member who many believe could pass away in the near future if he doesn’t change his habits.  Steven is addicted to pain medication and continues to gain weight.
