Young MA is one of the reasons Nicki Minaj won’t be able to make her typical award speech anymore. The one where she reminds the world that there’s no competition when it comes to female rappers. “Ooouuu” was more popular than any song Nicki released this year. Minaj even delivered a verse on the song’s instrumental, comparing Young MA to Jay-Z.

Remy Ma is another reason Nicki won’t be able to deliver the same old speech. The Bronx emcee was released from prison in 2014. She spent 6 years behind bars for attempted murder. She shot a woman named Makeeda Barnes-Joseph for stealing one thousand dollars from her.
Remy’s stint in prison has been a speed bump but she is making up for lost time. Every verse she delivers has been top-notch. She was able to outperform Jay-Z and Fat Joe on the remix to “All The Way Up” and she did her thing on A-Boogie’s hit, “My Shit.” Remy has called Nicki out a few times but Nicki doesn’t want any problems.
