Ruben De Los Santos is the Rolesville Police Department School Resource Officer that slammed Jasmine Darwin to the ground. Jasmine is a student at Rolesville High School, located in Wake County, North Carolina. Rolesville is one of the fastest growing suburbs in North Carolina.
Jasmine has a concussion as a result of the officer’s excessive force.
Ruben has been a School Resource Officer at Rolesville High School for about four years. He is now on paid administrative leave. The incident occurred after De Los Santos responded to a fight between two students. Jasmine is 15-years-old and was trying to protect her sister. The Rolesville Police Department is investigating the incident.

The school failed to inform Jasmine’s mother about the incident, instead she found out after seeing the video. The following tweet shows a Press Release from the Town of Rolesville Police Department:

The statement explains that the fight occurred around 7:10 AM in the cafeteria. De Los Santos will be on paid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
