Entertainment Tonight reports that Shannen Maria Doherty shared some heartbreaking news about her battle with breast cancer.  The actress and producer explained that the cancer might have spread so she has to do chemotherapy.  Thankfully, the Memphis native has the support of her husband, Kurt Iswarienko.

According to Hollywood Reporter the 45-year-old had breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes.  When you have cancer you need people in your life that remind you that once you choose hope, anything is possible.  Her husband has stood by her side since the day she found out the devastating news.  Stay strong Brenda!

The couple got married in 2011.  The planning stages of their wedding was seen on the WE tv one-hour series, Shannen Says.  The marriage was the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress’ third.  From 1993-93 she was married to actor and singer, Ashley Hamilton.  From 2002-02 she was married to Paris Hilton’s sex-tape costar, Rick Salomon.

In 2012, Iswarienko’s ex-wife, Taryn Band, accused the actress of being a homewrecker.  In an interview with Star Magazine Taryn explained that her ex-husband met Shannen back in 2008 while they were still married.  Taryn’s mother also voiced her opinion, stating that Shannen broke up a marriage.
