Shenellica Bettencourt Biography

Shenellica Juneann Bettencourt (born March 21, 1977), better known as Shenellica by her stage name, Joseline Hernandez is a Latin rapper, singer and reality television star. The Miami-native was discovered by record producer Steven Aaron Jordan (Stevie J). She currently stars in the VH1 reality television series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.

According to TMZ, before Love & Hip Hop, Hernandez was an exotic dancer and personal trainer. The Reggaeton singer and rapper is not scared to fabricate the truth. She recently posted an image showing off what looked like a baby bump. Hernandez posted another image a few days later and the baby bump was no where to be found.

The reality star has lied about numerous aspects of her life. Radar Online explains that she exposed the show as fake in a deposition last year. The series premiered back in 2011 as Love & Hip Hop: New York. From the start, there were rumors about the show being fake but it has now evolved into a scripted drama.

Early Life

Shenellica Juneann Bettencourt was born on March 21, 1977 in Guyana. Bettencourt was raised in Puerto Rico. She has five siblings that she has helped provide for since she was a kid. One of her brothers has autism and she helps provide him special care.

She started dancing when she was 16-years-old. The former stripper has danced in numerous cities including Atlanta, Dallas and Miami. Hernandez met Stevie J while dancing at ONYX in Atlanta.

Marriage

Stevie J recently revealed that him and Hernandez are not actually married. Hernandez has continued to tell the world that she is married to Stevie but that’s not possible according to Florida’s marriage records. According to the Broward County 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida, she married Matthew Louis Tremellen on March 21, 1997.

Legal Issues

In 2003 she was arrested in Miami, Florida. Hernandez was 25-years-old at the time of her arrest. She was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior. Lewd and lascivious behavior is defined as sexual behavior that is considered offensive or contrary to local moral standards.
On August 26, 2007 she was arrested on a bench warrant for lewd and lascivious behavior. She was 30-years-old at the time of the arrest.

Update August 11, 2016
On August 11, 2016 Stevie J attempted to persuade a judge to extend a restraining order that he had against “Hernandez” but he was unsuccessful. The court documents reveal that Shenellica Juneann Bettencourt is her real name and that she has been lying about her age.
