In 2010, after Lorenzen was murdered, many believed that Sherra was involved but the police couldn’t find the evidence they needed to charge her with any crimes.

Billy R. Turner was indicted for Lorenzen’s murder on December 5, 2017. The video at the end of this article shows Lorenzen’s mother yell at Turner during the indictment. Billy was a deacon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church No 1 in Alabama. Turner murdered the former NBA player on July 19, 2010.

Sherra was always a suspect but there was never enough evidence. That all changed once police found the gun Turner used to kill Lorenzen. After Lorenzen was murdered, Sherra’s neighbors told investigators that they witnessed bizarre behavior from Sherra, days before the incident.

Sherra’s neighbors explained that she was always talking about how much she needed money. They also saw her talking to a man, outside, on one of the hottest days of the year. Sherra spent most of Lorenzen’s $1 million life insurance in less than a year. She bought a new house, cars, furniture and took expensive trips.
