Public opinion about police officers is at an all-time low, but there is one cop out there who is winning fans and trying to make a difference. Officer Tommy Norman of North Little Rock, Arkansas, has a huge following on social media and has been recognized by several celebrities lately, including The Game, Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, and Empire’s own Taraj P. Henson.
In Henson’s comment from July 10, she wrote “You warm my heart! How smart of you. The children that you interact with in those neighborhoods will grow up one day and respect you because you respect them. I never believed that all cops are bad but lately that is all we the public have been seeing. I commend your humanity.”
