Taraji P. Henson Thought Coldplay Was Maroon 5 During The Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show

Once again, the Super Bowl proved to be one of the biggest nights of TV there is, giving viewers top notch football, new movie trailers for the year’s biggest films, super expensive product ads, and an exquisite halftime show. This year’s halftime show was performed by Coldplay, featuring special guests Beyonce and Bruno Mars. One problem: Empire star Taraji P. Henson thought Coldplay was Maroon 5 and posted about it on Instagram. Whoops.

Henson originally posted a photo of Coldplay during the halftime performance with the following caption: “YAAAAAAASSSSSS!!!! #maroon5 is life to me!!! #superbowl50 #HappyCamper I am 💋💋💋.” To be fair, Maroon 5 is life to me, too, and I also wish they were doing the Super Bowl halftime show, but I digress. It’s an innocent mistake and she soon deleted the post afterward and posted a tweet that said “oops”…

But Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine proudly posted a screencap of the post in all its glory, captioning it “THIS.”

If you watch The Voice, where Levine is a coach, you know that he’s got a great sense of humor, but what exactly Levine means by his caption is a mystery. Is this his way of saying, “Maroon 5 would be awesome at the Super Bowl, please ask us to perform next year. We will totally say yes. Love, Adam Levine and Maroon 5″? Is Adam Levine a secret Empire fan and Cookie Lyon worshipper? Let’s hope the answer is “yes” to all of the above.
