T.I. Net Worth

T.I. helped make trap music more popular with his 2003 album, Trap Musik.  15 years later it’s easy to take the rapper’s contributions for granted.  Since then, the Atlanta native, whose real name is Clifford Harris, has been in and out of jail but he’s finally putting the trap behind him.  Despite his legal troubles, Tip has established multiple income streams and continues to add to his fortune.

T.I. Net Worth As Of 2018: $60 Million

T.I.’s $60 million net worth was earned through decades of hard work in the music industry.  He was deemed the “King of the South” because of his consistency.  All of his albums have been masterpieces, from I’m Serious to Urban Legend to King.  Him and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris have expanded into reality television and they’ve enjoyed massive success.

Clifford Harris was born on September 25, 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was raised by his mother and grandparents and started rapping when he was 9-years-old.  He spent most of his time at his grandmother’s house, located in the Bandhead neighborhood he often raps about.

T.I.’s family was poor.  With no father in the household, he was forced to be the man of the house.  As a teenager, T.I. started selling drugs.  He attended Douglass High School but never graduated.  Killer Mike and Lil Jon also attended Douglass.  Harris eventually met Big Kuntry King, a local rapper, and they started selling mixtapes out the trunk of their car.T.I. was arrested several times before his big break.  A producer heard one of T.I.’s mixtapes and when he was 19, he signed to LaFace Records.  In 2001, he released his debut album, I’m Serious.  T.I. met Tameka “Tiny” Harris in 2001.  I’m Serious was a failure and T.I. was dropped from LaFace.

T.I. didn’t stop working hard.  He was signed by Atlantic Records and in 2003 he released his sophomore album, Trap Muzik.  The album was a success and T.I. hasn’t looked back since.

T.I. is expanding his empire.  Although he still records, he’s been focused on television lately.  Him and Kevin Hart are producing a music-themed comedy series for Showtime called The Studio.  T.I. and Kevin have a strong bond.  They both appeared in Get Hard and Ride Along 2.  I can’t wait to see their new series.
