Adam Toledo is the 13-year-old who was fatally shot by a police office. After bodycam footage of the incident released, some claimed that Toledo was a member of the Latin Kings gang.
Toledo was running away from a police officer and according to police, the 13-year-old had a gun in his hand. Prosecutors claim that 21-year-old, Ruben Roman, handed Toledo the gun, minutes after the Roman used the gun to shoot at a passing car.
Roman is seen on video shooting the gun. Police were called and the bodycam footage shows them arriving on the scene, in response to the reported gunfire. The video shows officers chase Roman and Toledo into an alley and then Toledo stops and the officer catches up to him. Toledo put his hands up but the cop is seen fatally shooting him.
