Fox will announce its Fall schedule on Monday, May 16, 2016. TV by the Numbers explains that Fox will be going into its 2016-2017 season without American Idol. The last time the company’s schedule did not include American Idol was over 15 years ago.
TV Guide reports that the television network has ordered Lee Daniels’ musical drama pilot Star. Daniels signed a multiyear deal with Fox after Empire’s record-breaking freshman season. Empire remains the top-ranked show among adults 18-19.
