    Jamila Velazquez – Chicago PD, Emily Vega

    Jamila Velazquez made an appearance on Chicago PD.  The actress, who played Laura Calleros on Empire, most likely won’t make any future appearances on the Fox series.  We last saw Laura in the season 2 finale when she left Hakeem at the altar.  The series moves fast and old characters typically don’t reappear.

    Like Hakeem’s other former love interest, Valentina Galindo (Becky G) aka Guadalupe, Laura will be missed.  In Chicago PD season 4, episode 11, “You Wish” she plays Emily Vega, a teen with a minor record.  She has been arrested several times and she’s struggling with a drug addiction.  A witness sees her run away from a crime scene and throw a knife in the bushes.

    She tries to run from Kim and Alvin but she’s unable to get through a locked fence.

    She learned a thing or two from the Lyon family.  Investigators question her about the knife she threw into the bushes and she tells them that she lost it a few days prior.

    The blade was used to kill a man so Emily is forced to tell the truth.  Jamila reminds us how talented she is in the emotional scene.  She explains that the man tried to rape her.  “What goes around, comes around.”

    Ryan Destiny and Quincy Brown are stealing our hearts on Star! Ryan plays Alexandra “Alex” Crane while Quincy plays Derrick Jones, Carlotta’s next door neighbor.  Lee Daniels is a matchmaker! Empire introduced us to Tiana and Hakeem aka Takeem along with Trai Byers and Grace Gealey aka Trace.

    We can’t give Daniels the credit for Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard’s on-screen relationship.  Long before Empire there was Hustle and Flow.  We can give Daniels the credit for Derrick and Alex aka Dalex.  The couple’s new love is already #RelationshipGoals! Derrick is on a mission to change the world while Alex plans to use music to conquer it.

    The couple’s relationship reminds us of Empire.  Lee Daniels used music, drama and Cookie Lyon to change television forever.  You know what they say: Once you go black, you don’t go back! Empire paved the way for several television shows, including Blackish and the FX series, Atlanta.Empire also paved the way for Star.  Lee Daniels proved himself and now he holds a substantial amount of power at Fox.  He recently announced that he’s working on the Empire spinoff which will feature Cookie Lyon!

    Ethan Diamond and Amber Lee from Are You The One? season 1 are still together.  Season 5 of the MTV reality series aired on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.  This season, 22 contestants are looking for their perfect match.  Scroll to the list below to vote for your favorite contestants.  Ethan and Amber’s season took place in Kauai, Hawaii while season 5 was filmed in Cabarete, Dominican Republic.

    Are You The One? is a dating experiment.  This season, 11 single women and 11 single men are put through a matchmaking process to find their perfect match.  If the contestants correctly select all 11 perfect matches, they split a $1 million award.  In seasons 1 through 4, all the perfect matches were found.  In season 1 and 2, the award was $1 million.  In seasons 3 and 4, the award was $750,000.

    At the season 1 reunion special, Ethan proposed to amber and she said YES! In December 2014, the couple welcomed their adorable daughter, Scarlett Avery.  The family has stolen our hearts since then.  Check them out in their cool shades:

    Bow Wow’s baby mama, Joie Chavis, was discussed during Yung Berg’s Breakfast Club interview.  Yung Berg and Bow Wow were beefing over Joie last year.  Joie dated Yung Berg before she had a baby with Bow Wow.  In the interview below, Yung Berg explains why he broke with Chavis.  He says he didn’t think the relationship was genuine.

     

    Yung Berg aka Hitmaka has produced numerous hit songs for artist like Jeremih and Nicki Minaj.  During the interview, Yung Berg says that he was at the studio with Nicki Minaj and Joie was with him.  Joie shocked Yung Berg by telling him she was a singer.  Entertainers like Yung Berg generally find it difficult to trust people.  Yung Berg felt like Joie was using him so he decided to end the relationship.

    Yung Berg also exposes Mona Scott-Young, the producer of Love and Hip Hop.  Yung Berg appeared on the first season of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.  He says that him and Joie filmed for a couple months but then Yung Berg had to go to Miami to work with Diddy.

    Bow Wow recently got back with Joie.  Erica Mena and Joie have exchanged words on social media over Bow Wow in the past but it looks like Erica is finally over Bow Wow.

    Who Plays The Mother On Star? – Caroline Vreeland, Mary Davis

    Caroline Vreeland plays the mother on Fox’s Star television series.  Caroline plays Mary Davis, Star (Jude Demorest) and Simone’s (Brittany O’Grady) mother who passed away due to a drug overdose.
    Caroline is a beautiful model and talented musician.  In 2013, she was a contestant on American Idol.  Scroll to the YouTube video to see Caroline’s American Idol interview.

    During the interview, Caroline reveals that she has been singing her entire life.  She explains that she was shocked when she received her golden ticket.  Vreeland shares her plans to use her music to change people’s lives.  Caroline’s character on Star had an amazing voice but she was addicted to drugs.

    In episode 3 of Star, “Next To Kin”, we see Mary using drugs in front of Star and Simone.  Mary was a member of a group managed by Jahil Rivera (Benjamin Bratt).  Carlotta (Queen Latifah) was also a member of the group.  Carlotta blames herself for Mary’s death and refuses to let anything bad happen to Star and Simone.
    Carlotta doesn’t want Star and Simone to work with Jahil but there’s nothing she can do.  Jahil is convinced that Star’s special and Star is hungry for success.

    Sonye Rasool is the woman being blamed for Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj’s breakup.  Rumors about Sonye being Meek’s side chick started last month.  The rumors were false and now Sonye is planning to sue the media outlets that published the false reports for defamation.  According to TMZ, Meek and Nicki broke up because Meek wasn’t paying Nicki the attention she deserves.

    Meek and Nicki’s split will most likely be temporary considering the petty reason they broke up.  If Meek cheated on Nicki she most likely wouldn’t forgive him and give him another chance.  Nicki celebrated her 34th birthday on December 8, 2016 and her and Meek went to Turks and Caicos.

    This committed relationship thing is still new to Meek so he didn’t spend time with Nicki during the vacation.  Nicki Minaj is far from basic.  She didn’t let Meek get away with his action and was happy to report that she’s single.  Time heals all wounds and this scar is minor.  Nicki will be over it by next week and we’re sure Meek’s apologizing.

    If Meek plans on marrying Nicki he won’t let this happen again.  Nicki is too old to start all over with someone new.  Her and Meek have been through so many ups and downs and they make a great couple.  Do You think Nicki and Meek Mill should get back together?     Yo Gotti posted a picture of his beautiful daughter on Instagram.  The Memphis rapper has three children.  They’re six, eleven and twelve.  He has a son and two daughters.  He named one of his daughters Monica and he named the other Dearra.  Last year, the rapper, whose real name is Mario Mims announced a partnership between his Collective Music Group imprint and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation entertainment company.

    Yo Gotti is friends with Jay-Z’s former hustling partner, Emory Jones who currently works for Roc Nation.  Emory was recently released from prison after completing a 14-year sentence.  Emory and Jay-Z complimented Yo Gotti’s hustle.  The three businessmen are from the streets and real recognizes real.

    Yo Gotti was excited to collaborate with Roc Nation.  He knows how important it is to surround yourself with greatness.  In 2013, he signed a distribution deal with L.A. Reid’s Epic Records.  With partners like Jay-Z and L.A. Reid, Yo Gotti can’t lose.

    Yo Gotti works hard and is still able to find time to spend with his family.  The rapper recently released the following video for his song, “81.” His 2016 album, The Art of Hustle was a classic and we can’t wait to hear his next album!

    Before dating Fetty Wap, Alexis Skyy was a stripper.  The former couple’s sex tape is being shared online.  Scroll to the Instagram video to see Alexis’ response to the sex tape.  She discusses the tape with Amber Rose.  Alexis reveals that she was not expecting the tape to be leaked.  Fetty Wap believes that Alexis leaked the tape.

    Hours after the tape was released, Fetty Wap’s lawyers drafted cease and desist letters.  The letters require websites to remove the video.  Fetty Wap’s actions make it obvious that he is the person on the tape with Alexis.  Once a video has been leaked, it’s too late to do anything about it.  The Internet makes it nearly impossible to delete content that has already been shared.

    People who have seen the video are posting shrimp emojis in Fetty Wap’s comments.

    Fetty Wap cheated on Alexis with Masika Kalysha.  Fetty and Masika had a baby leading to Fetty and Alexis’ breakup.  As revenge, Alexis most likely leaked the tape.

    Soulja Boy has posted multiple videos showing that he’s been working out in preparation for his fight vs Chris Brown.  Scroll to the Instagram video to see Soulja Boy working out.  The second video shows Chris Brown taking boxing lessons.  Brown’s heigh is 6′ 1″ and he weights 160 pounds.  Soulja Boy is shorter than Brown.  The rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Way, weights 150 pounds.

    Chris Brown has the clear advantage.  Chris has played in several celebrity basketball games where he has shown off his athleticism.  The singer’s dance moves also prove he’s in shape.  Brown is constantly impressing fans with unique moves that require flexibility.  Drug usage will make the difference in the fight between Chris Brown and Soulja Boy.

    Chris Brown and Soulja Boy both abuse drugs.  Soulja Boy is often seen smoking marijuana and Chris Brown smokes cigarettes.  They both drink lean and take pills.  Floyd Mayweather must make them both take drug tests and neither entertainer will be able to stay sober.

    Chris Brown and Soulja Boy’s drug abuse make the fight impossible.  Mayweather will be sued if he puts either entertainer in harm’s way.  In 2015, Mayweather violated anti-doping rules before his fight with Manny Pacquiao.

    Cisco Rosado’s baby mama made an appearance on season 5 of Love and Hip Hop.  The video at the end of this post shows Cisco and Tasha discussing their life before Cisco became a member of The Creep Squad.  Cisco and Tasha have two children together: CJ and Tiana.  Cisco mentions losing his family during his emotional conversation with Peter Gunz.

    Cisco visits his family once a month.  In the video, Tasha explains how difficult it is to be a single parent.  Cisco tries to blame Tasha for their current arrangement but Tasha corrects him.  Cisco’s actions led to their breakup.  He explains that she has been loyal while he has been disrespectful.

    In season 7 of Love and Hip Hop episode 9, “Coo Coo for Koko” Cisco pours his heart out to Peter Gunz.  Cisco explains that he has lost his family and he’s referring to Tasha and his kids.

    Tasha was there for Cisco before he had any money.  When Cisco’s brother was murdered, Tasha was there, supporting Cisco.

    Now that Cisco’s mother is sick, he needs people like Tasha in his life.  Cisco teaches us not to run our loved ones away.

    Face your problems head on and cherish your loved ones.  Life is precious.  Be grateful for the time you get to spend with the people you love.
