    Gorgeous Gangsta Record Label – Snoop

    Snoop’s Gorgeous Gangsta record label is receiving major publicity on season 7 of Love and Hip Hop.  In episode 9, “Coo Coo for Koko” we see Snoop’s artist, Sofi Green, in the studio working on her song, “That’s Why You Hate.” Sofi also delivers her new track, “98 Mase.” We’re glad J. Adrienne put her emotions aside so Snoop was able to sign Sofi.

    Snoop is enjoying Sofi’s song with rapper Vado, at Premier Studios.  Snoop explains that Vado is one of the artist that has supported her music venture.  Vado tells Sofi that she sounds good and Sofi asks him if he’ll be coming to the showcase.  Vado says that he’ll be there.  Snoop tells Sofi to be ready because the showcase is Gorgeous Gangsta’s introduction to the world.

    Sofi leaves and Snoop gives Vado an update on Gorgeous Gangsta.  She explains that her ex-girlfriend, J. Adrienne has been working hard.  Vado warns Snoop to make sure J. Adrienne knows her position.

    Snoop reveals that her and J. Adrienne broke up because of J. Adrienne’s jealousy issues.  Later, we see Yandy, Bianca and Vado at Snoop’s launch party.

    Rapper, Method Man, also shows up to check out Snoop’s launch party.  Snoop and Method Man appeared in The Wire together.

    Shawnee, Snoop’s artist from Baltimore, performs first and the crowd loves her.  Ike, another Baltimore artist, performs second and the crowd loves him as well.  Sofi Green ends the night with an unforgettable performance.
    J. Adrienne has one too many drinks and her and Snoop end up arguing.  It doesn’t look like they’ll be able to work together.

    Is Faith Evans pregnant? No, the rumors about Faith being pregnant are false.  Faith’s new relationship with Stevie J led to the rumors.  Evans is currently 43-years-old and most likely won’t have anymore children.  She has four children.  The Notorious B.I.G. is the father of her oldest son, Christopher Wallace Jr.

    Faith is helping Stevie change his life.  In episode 4 of Leave It To Stevie, “Got To Have Faith” we see Stevie conducting research to launch his own supplement brand.  Stevie, Yung Joc and Lil Scrappy go to a convention where Stevie meets legendary bodybuilder, Lee Haney.  Stevie wouldn’t be worried about his health if he was still with Joseline Hernandez.

    It’s great to see Stevie and Lil Scrappy getting along.  Who can forget their 2012 Love and Hip Hop Atlanta fight!?

    It has been difficult to separate the real and fake aspects of Stevie’s life since he’s been working with VH1.  Many believe that his relationship with Faith is a publicity stunt.

    Stevie’s relationship with Faith could be fake but his life has definitely changed since he started spending time with her.  Faith has helped Stevie focus on what he’s good at: Music.  In the last episode of Leave It To Stevie, we see Stevie visit Tommie Lee.  She reveals that she’s working on new music and Stevie tells her that he’s willing to help.

    K. Michelle’s gay best friend, Melisia, calls her out in season 3, episode 4 of K. Michelle: My Life, “Restaurant Impossible.” K. Michelle asks Melisia if she thinks she’s gay and Melisia answers, “yes.” Melisia tries to convince the singer to be with her and she reveals that her and K. Michelle has sexual relations two days prior.

    K. Michelle looks shocked, she’s lost for words.  K. Michelle explains that she enjoys playing around sometimes but Dr. Sims knows exactly who she is.  K. Michelle tells Melisia that they were drunk but Melisia is in her feelings.  Melisia explains that she feels used and K. Michelle can’t believe it.

    K. Michelle reminds Melisia that they are friends and Melisia loses her cool.  Melisia tells K. Michelle to stop having sex with her if she just wants to be friends.  K. Michelle is reminding the world why she’ll never be a household name.  Although she’s talented, she’s nothing like today’s iconic singers.

    K. Michelle is too real to become an icon.  The most popular artists in the industry understand how to keep their personal lives personal.  K. Michelle’s fame came through reality shows therefore she does not care about people knowing her business.

    Major Galore is the first lady of Gwinin Entertainment.  Unlike Mariahlynn, Major Galore didn’t hesitate to sign with DJ Self’s new record label.  Scroll down to listen to Major Galore’s hit song, “Love Come Down.” She explains that the song is being played on Power 105.1 on a regular basis.  DJ Self broadcasts from Power 105.1 and Shade 45.

    Mariahlynn hesitated to sign with DJ Self while Major Galore was excited to be a part of Gwinin Ent.  In Love and Hip Hop season 7, episode 9, “Coo Coo for Koko” DJ Self visits Major Galore at a photoshoot.  DJ Self reveals that he has a slot at Powerhouse’s Pre-Party.  Major Galore is excited but she calls DJ Self out for going to Mariahlynn’s show.

    Major Galore was born on May 6, 1986 and is currently 30-years-old.  She doesn’t get along with Mariahlynn because Mariahlynn told a DJ not to play Major Galore’s music.  DJ Self is confused because he gave Mariahlynn an opportunity to sign with Gwinin Ent. but she refused.  Later, DJ Self and Mariahlynn meet to discuss their future.

    DJ Self calls Mariahlynn out for meeting with Cisco.  Mariahlynn reveals that she already signed DJ Self’s contract and is excited to be a part of Gwinin Ent.  Mariahlynn wants to be the first lady of Gwinin and she calls Major Galore out for insulting her.  DJ Self tries to make peace but Mariahlynn and Major Galore get into a fight in the next episode of Love and Hip Hop!

    Yandy and Samantha fight in the next episode of Love and Hip Hop New York.  In the previews for episode 10 of season 7, “Don’t Mess With the Exes” we see Yandy Smith put her hands on Samantha Wallace after Samantha calls her a b****.  Mendeecees goes to jail and his baby mothers don’t know how to act!

    In episode 9 of season 7 we see Samantha’s friend, Koko meet with Yandy to air out Samantha.  Yandy is busy dealing with her and Mendeecees’ marriage documentation but Koko tells her that she has concerns about Lil Mendeecees’ well-being.  Lil Mendeecees is Yandy’s soft spot so she agrees to meet Koko in a public place.

    When the ladies meet, Koko tells Yandy that she’s concerned about Lil Mendeecees and Yandy explains that she hasn’t been able to see him now that his father is in jail.

    Koko tells Yandy that Erika is trying to sabotage her.  Koko says that she has recorded conversations of “Operation Yandy.”  Koko says that Erika is trying to spread lies about Yandy cheating on Mendeecees.  Koko explains that Erika is trying to get blogs to publish the lies to break up Yandy’s family.

    “98 Mase” is Sofi Green’s new single.   He performed the song on Love and Hip Hop New York, season 7, episode 9 “Coo Coo for Koko.” In the 90s Mason Betha was on top of the world.  Him and Sean “Diddy” Combs were releasing hit songs and Bad Boy Records became on of the most popular record labels of all-time.

    While 1998 was a great year for Mase, The Notorious B.I.G. was murdered one year prior.  Christopher Wallace died on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles, California.  In 1997, Mase released his debut album, Harlem World.  The album featured numerous hit songs including “Feel So Good” and “What You Want.”

    In 1999, Mase released his sophomore album, Double Up.  The album went gold a month after it was released but then Mase decide to become a pastor.  Hip-hop wasn’t the same after Biggie was murdered.  Snoop, Gorgeous Gangsta and Sofi Green chose a great song to pay homage to Mase and Bad Boy Records.


    One year before Biggie was murdered, Tupac Shakur was killed in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The two best rappers of the 90s, and arguably all-time, didn’t make it through the 90s.  Rappers, like Mase, were left clueless about their futures.  The hip-hop industry was too dangerous at the time, leading Mase to make his decision to retire and become a pastor.

    Cisco Rosado’s “wife” that he mentions on Love and Hip Hop New York was Jennifer Williams.  She is best known as Evelyn Lozada’s former best friend on Basketball Wives.  Cisco also dated Daryl Strawberry’s daughter, Diamond.  She appeared on season 5 of Love and Hip Hop.  Cisco’s baby mama, Tasha, made an appearance on season 5 of Love and Hip Hop.

    On Love and Hip Hop season 7, episode 9, “Coo Coo for Koko” we see Cisco and Peter Gunz almost fight each other.  Cisco is upset about being kicked out of The Creep Squad.

    After nearly fighting each other, Cisco pours his heart out to Peter Gunz.  Cisco has been acting differently this season and now we know why.  Earlier in the season, Cisco tells Mariahlynn that his mother is sick but he doesn’t provide any additional details.  Cisco tells Peter that his mother is dying, explaining why he’s been acting different this season.

    Cisco airs The Creep Squad out.  He’s going through difficult times and all the members of The Creep Squad have turned their backs on him.  Cisco and Peter share an emotional hug.  It’s great to see them make up.

    Facebook is here to stay.  Every year, we consider the theory that Facebook is dead.  Innovative social media networks, like Snapchat, are introduced but then Facebook typically buys them before they’re able to grow.  We’ve seen it with WhatsApp and Instagram.  While Snapchat is cool, the app has no chance against Facebook.

    Facebook content does not disappear.  As a result, the network is valued by businesses around the world.  Snapchat would benefit from being acquired by Facebook.  If Snapchat continues to grow, Facebook will make it more difficult for the app to increase its market share.  At the end of the day, there’s only one Mark Zuckerberg.
