  • Decoding The ‘Empire’ Trailer For Episode “My Bad Parts”

Hakeem Lyon has accumulated a lot of enemies so far in Empire Season 2 — and that’s most apparent in the trailer for this week’s episode “My Bad Parts.” In addition to being kidnapped, the youngest Lyon son seems to be attracting animosity at every turn. Is it just because he’s young and cocky? Or is he just having a bad luck streak?

Let’s examine just how much bad blood is flowing between Hakeem and everyone else on Empire.

Lucious – Remember the days when Hakeem was Lucious’ favorite son? How the tables have turned. These days, Lucious is more taken with rapper Freda Gatz, who seems to be his kindred spirit.

Freda Gatz – And from the looks of the trailer, Lucious is turning Fred and Hakeem against each other, creating a rivalry between the two up-and-coming rappers. Who will win their rap battle?

Laz – Hakeem doesn’t trust Cookie’s new lover and he’s now being vocal about it to Laz’s face. That doesn’t sit too well with the mysterious promoter — and Cookie even comes to Hakeem’s defense.

Anika – Boo Boo Kitty keeps coming onto him and Hakeem keeps not having it these days, being more taken with Laura.

Will Hakeem bury any of these hatchets in “My Bad Parts”? We shall see.

    Skye Summers Empire Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys’ Empire TV Show appearance will go down on November 25, 2015.  Keys will play Skye Summers. Empire fans went crazy upon hearing the news.

Based on the picture Keys posted on Instagram, Skye Summers looks like she may be able to give Cookie a run for her money! Keys posted an image of herself sitting in her director’s chair.

Alicia Keys looked amazing in her blue beaded dress and long purple hair.  Some additional Empire cameos we greatly enjoyed this season include Kelly Rowland and Chris Rock.

Empire’s second season has seen its ups and downs with the show’s ratings decreasing week-after-week.  The perfect way to fix that problem is adding a Grammy-winning star to the show’s long list of amazing guests.

Alicia Keys will also be featured on Empire’s second season soundtrack.  Fans that purchase the digital deluxe version of the soundtrack will get eight extra songs including the track “Powerful” featuring Jussie Smollett and Alicia Keys.

So is Skye Summers Empire Entertainment or do y’all think she will roll with Lyon Dynasty?  Now that Cookie will have Vivica Fox we are thinking Alicia Keys character will interact with Lucious.

They say what goes up must come down and the Empire television show has not been an exception to the rule.  The show’s ratings have been consistently decreasing this season.  While some blame the show’s celebrity guest stars others, like 50 Cent, have criticized Lee Daniels for pushing “too much gay stuff.”

Empire’s most recent ratings and the show’s number of viewers have been more believable as of late.  After the show’s record-breaking first season, the show set the bar extremely high for itself. So how many people watched Empire?

For the TV show Empire, season 2 has been a cooling period after a red-hot first season of record-breaking numbers.  Empire’s second season has been an overall success and the show’s remaining episodes of this season will feature amazing guest stars including Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz.

For cast members like Grace Gealey, the show’s numbers remain unbelievable considering the fact she made her acting debut on Empire.  The Empire television show is still the number 1 show of Wednesday nights yet its most recent episode, True Love Never, dropped to a season-low 4.2 ratings among the 18-49 adult demographic.

One thing is certain: We still love the TV show Empire. Season 2 has offered great music along with numerous unforgettable moments.  Empire’s second season may lack the first season’s record breaking numbers yet the show continues to offer valuable enjoyable content week after week.

Empire on Gun Control: Bang Bang Bang Bang

Lee Daniels Empire character, Cookie, was based on his “gangster” grandma from Philly.

Way before Lucious and Freda Gatz dropped Boom Boom Boom Boom, Cookie was reminding us that she’s ready to kill at will.  Pictures of Taraji P Henson on Empire warn anyone willing to test Cookie that they will end up on the losing end of her 9 millimeter.

Lee Daniels, Empire creator, has explained that his grandmother was his inspiration for Cookie.  We adore Daniels and his grandmother for such an amazing masterpiece.

Every Wednesday we find ourselves unable to take our eyes off the television as we are entertained by another amazing episode of Empire. Cookie’s quotes generally remind us that she is willing to bust shots if she has to and we can only imagine a young Lee Daniels witnessing his grandmother make similar comments.

We went through our Empire arsenal and put together Empire on Gun Control: Bang Bang Bang Bang:

Cookie is not the only one packing heat.  Lucious Lyon, Empire’s leading gunslinger, showed us the attachment that he has to a particular gun in the show’s last episode, ‘True Love Never’.  Lucious reveals that his mother once utter the words “Boom Boom Boom Boom” before committing suicide, we think.

One of the many things we love about Empire, Cookie quotes!  Some of Cookie’s best lines have been delivered while she is she threatening to take a person’s life yet Lucious doesn’t make threats…

Pictures of Taraji P. Henson on Empire often show her pointing her pistol whereas we’ve actually seen Lucious shoot his firearm…Bang Bang Bang Bang.  Lucious Lyon, Empire’s head of security hasn’t allowed Cookie to have all the fun:
