DJ Hurricane and his daughter, Ayana Fite appear on Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta. In episode 3 of the the show’s third season, “Rack It Up” we see Ayana try to convince her father to invest in her clothing line, Cozy Closet. She also needs money for a breast reduction but Hurricane doesn’t want Ayana to get surgery.

How many kids does DJ Hurricane have?
DJ Hurricane has four kids: Jennifer, Jarell, Ayana and Quran. The world was introduced to Ayana in 2017 thanks to Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta. In the first season of the reality series we meet Ayana’s girlfriend, Amy. Ayana’s cousin, Brandon Barnes also appears on the series alongside his mother, Deb Antney, Waka Flocka Flame’s mother. Brandon is Waka’s younger brother.

DJ Hurricane was born Wendell Timothy Fite on January 12, 1965 in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Hollins, Queens, New York. Joseph Simmons, Darryl McDaniels and Jason Mizell aka Run-DMC were Hurricane’s childhood friends. When the Wendell was 11, he started rapping and eventually became of member of Solo Sounds and The Afros.

In the 1980s, he landed a gig as a bodyguard for Run-DMC and became friends with the Beastie Boys. In 1986, the Beastie Boys named Hurricane their official DJ. He worked with the group from 1986 to 1997. In 1995, DJ Hurricane released his first solo album, The Hurra.
