Katlynn Simone as Treasure
Katlynn Simone plays Treasure on season 5 of Empire. Cookie discovered her after visiting Andre in prison. Treasure has a beautiful voice so Cookie invites her to the house so she can sing for her and Lucious.
Toby Onwumere as Kai
Toby Onwumere plays Kai on season 5 of Empire. Kai is Jamal’s new boyfriend. He’s a war correspondent who Jamal meets in London. Hakeem points a gun at Toby’s face but Toby doesn’t panic.
A.Z. Kelsey as Jeff Kingsley
A.Z. Kelsey plays Jeff Kingsley on season 5 of Empire. He has an intimate relationship with Giselle and he starts drama with Lucious. Kelsey is one of the only white cast members on Empire.
Mario Barrett as Devon
Singer Mario Barrett will play DeVon on Empire. DeVon is a singer on the rise so Cookie and Lucious want to sign him to their new label: Lyon Family Management. Empire Entertainment also wants to sign the talented singer who is taking care of his sick sister.
Recurring Cast Members Who Were Promoted To Series Regulars
Nicole Ari Parker (Giselle Barker) and Rhyon Nicole Brown (Maya) were promoted from recurring cast members to series regulars. Giselle is one of Eddie Barker’s ex-wives and Maya is Poundcake’s daughter.
