Nicki Minaj is alive despite rumors that the Queens rapper is dead.
Billboard reports that the world hasn’t heard new music from Nicki Minaj since her 2014 album, The Pinkprint. In the past, the CEO of her label, Lil’ Wayne, has explained his belief that rappers should be able create material fast. During Lil’ Wayne’s prime, his ability to deliver quality mixtapes faster than other rappers set him apart from the competition.
Lil’ Wayne wasn’t speaking about Minaj specifically when he made the remarks but we’re sure that he was pushing her to release new music. According to Rap Up the Queens rapper released “The Pinkprint Freestyle” over Young M.A’s “Ooouuu” breaking the Internet with boastful bars.
The 33-year-old has been through numerous changes in her personal life which could have made it difficult for her to get into the studio. The CEOs of her record labels, Birdman and Lil’ Wayne, are currently beefing leading Lil’ Wayne to announce his retirement. Minaj’s love life has also changed, breaking up with Safaree Samuels and falling in love with Meek Mill.
