Rasual Butler and his wife, Leah LaBelle passed away in a car crash on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.  He was 38 and his wife was 31.  Leah didn’t have any kids but Rasual has a daughter named Raven.  The former NBA player lost control of his Range Rover in Studio City, Los Angeles around 2 AM.  The vehicle hit a parking meter, slammed into a wall and flipped over several times before landing in the parking lot of a shopping plaza.

Rasual Butler’s $5 million net worth was earned through his career as a NBA player.  In 2002 he was drafted by the Miami Heat.  In 2010, Butler signed a 1-year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers for $2.4 million.  In 2013, he signed with the Indiana Pacers for $1.4 million.
In 2014, he agreed to a 1-year deal with the Washington Wizards for $1.45 million.  In 2015, Rasual signed with the San Antonio Spurs for $1.5 million.  Butler played with Dwyane Wade in Miami.  In 2003, Wade had to make his first public appearance on behalf of the team and he was feeling nervous.  Rasual was right by Wade’s side and helped the NBA star conquer his fear.

Leah LaBelle was born on September 8, 1986.  She appeared on the third season of American Idol.  The video below shows that she had a beautiful voice.  In 2011, she signed a joint deal with Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings, L.A. Reid’s Epic Records and Pharrell’s I Am Other label.
