Victor Alonzo King is the North Carolina father who was arrested for leaving his 5 children home while he went to work. His oldest child is 8 and his other children are 7, 5, 3 and 1. He’s currently facing child abuse charges. There’s nothing like family and these days it takes a village to raise a child. You have to plan in advance.
It’s easy to get upset after reading this news. Victor did what he had to do to keep his job and take care of his family. Anyone who has kids understands how risky it is to leave them home alone. Even when you’re home it’s important to keep an eye on your children because anything can happen.

In North Carolina, an 8-year-old can be left home alone but he cannot be left to care for other children. I can’t support Victor in this situation because of the 1 and 3-year-old children. A child that young is too fragile to be left with other children.
Victor claims that he asked his neighbor to watch his kids but his neighbor left them alone. King’s wife was recently diagnosed with stage four cancer and he is paying for her medical bills.
